A spokesperson for the Israel Airports Authority said has said that a barrage of rockets in a Tel Aviv area did not impact Ben Gurion Airport.
Moreover, the spokesperson said there had been a mid-air rocket interception and in which a village nearby might have been impacted.
Israel trying to recruit as many people as possible
On the announcement that Israel has called up 300,00 reservists, Al Jazeera’s Wilhelm Marx, reporting from west Jerusalem, adds that it is clear that the government are trying to recruit as many people as possible for a potential ground invasion.
“Many people here in Israel, of course, served in the military as part of their national service during their early 20s and late teens, and seemingly those been called up remain in that reserve corps to serve in what may be a very significant conflict in the days ahead,” he said
Sirens go off in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv

Israeli army launches air attacks on two Gaza refugee camps
Israeli air attacks have targeted two refugee camps in the besieged Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera’s Youmna ElSayed reports.
The “two massive raids” hit the Jabalia and al-Shati refugee camps, ElSayed said. A mosque in al-Shati was also struck, she added.
Dozens of casualties have been brought to Gaza City’s main hospital, Al-Shifa.
‘No place is safe for Palestinians on the Gaza Strip’
We’re hearing more from Refaat al Areer, a Gaza resident, who earlier told Al Jazeera that the Israeli bombing of the besieged enclave did not stop “even for a minute” overnight.
“Every Palestinian in Gaza is a target. We go outside just to buy necessary food items, especially for the kids. Almost everybody is inside because it is not safe even inside. Israel can still target and kill people wherever they are.
“Israel is displacing forcibly by bombing areas and ordering people to leave. There is no place that is safe for Palestinians on the Gaza Strip.”
Every raid and bombardment ‘wrecking’ areas
Witnesses and sources say that more than 70 percent of that neighbourhood is completely wrecked, it has been completely wiped out, Al Jazeera’s Youmna ElSayed, reporting from Gaza, says.
“The infrastructure… everything has been completely destroyed, in addition to homes and every other building in that area that was under heavy bombardment.”
Palestinian group unveils new weapon
The Palestinian group, Al Qassam Brigade, has unveiled a new weapon in the latest conflict against Israel, our correspondent, Jamileh Abu Zanoona reports from Gaza.
She quoted a statement from the group that says the shoulder-fired air defence system was manufactured by the group in Gaza, and has been put into service in the current conflict.
A video released by the group also showed Qassam fighters firing and hitting their targets in the air.
“They are trying to prove their point that they are working on themselves and that they are going to succeed,” our correspondent said.

Bombing has not stopped ‘even for a minute’
Refaat al-Areer, a Gaza resident, tells Al Jazeera what it was like spending the night under the constant sound of Israeli bombardment in the besieged enclave.
“We have run out of adjectives to describe the Israeli bombing of whole blocks, targeting Palestinian families as they slept, targeting mosques, businesses and residential areas.
“The night was unprecedented. We barely slept. The situation was terrifying.
“I think this is just going to be the beginning because the bombs have not stopped for 10 hours, not even for a minute.”
